Meet Your Hosts
Mike
Mike continues to persist and is a member of the Duquesne faculty. He is a media slut eager to share his passions with an unsuspecting populace. In addition, he drinks and knows stuff.
Kerry
Kerry is resuming his 45 year broadcasting passion which includes a 43 year research gap along the winding road of life experiences. He might know a thing or two and also likes beer and music and more beer.
The Mission
In an age of algorithmic playlists and endless content, The MiKe Drop is something different: a return to the art of freeform radio.
No corporate sponsors telling us what to play. No algorithms deciding what you should hear. Just two old friends, a microphone, and the freedom to share whatever feels true in the moment — music, ideas, stories, and the spaces in between.
This is radio the way it was meant to be: personal, unpredictable, and made with heedless passion for people who still believe that culture is worth caring about.
About Duquesne Student Radio
Founded in 1878, Duquesne is consistently ranked among the nation's top Catholic universities for its award-winning faculty and horizon-expanding education. The views and opinions expressed on The MiKe Drop are solely those of Mike and Kerry and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of Duquesne University. We are thankful to Duquesne University for providing us with the opportunity to host this radio show.
